Territory

RiverClan cats live in a wet marshland with a big river that extends from the lake at the center of all the Clans. There are wet grasses, cattails, and few trees. The river has a rocky bed with rocks that extend past the surface of the streaming water. RiverClan's territory is closest to the island in the lake where the Clans hold Gatherings. RiverClan shares borders with ShadowClan and the horseplace, where twolegs sometimes keep horses. There is a strip of land that connects to WindClan's territory. RiverClan cats's diet consits of mostly fish from the stream and land prey if absolutely necessary.

Values

RiverClan is best known for its skill and grace. RiverClan cares deeply for each of their Clanmates and take deep pride in the beauty of their river, both the river in the lake territories and in the forest territories. They are extremely skilled at fishing out of the stream and have developed and passed on these skills for a long time. They are the only Clan not afraid to swim, and they teach their young to do so. The combination of a fish diet and swimming often have given RiverClan cats sleek, glossy coats and thick bellies that tell other Clans of their grace and usually well-fed camp.

Examples:

• Mistystar - A honorable, kind leader that lived many moons and had parents from two different Clans
• Stonefur - A deputy that was the brother of Mistystar and gave his life by standing up to an extremely cruel cat
• Crookedstar - A courageous, thoughtful leader that permanently twisted his jaw as a kit and persevered in the face of an old evil
• Feathertail - A kind, pretty cat that helped lead the Clans to their new homes and gave her life to save a group of cats from a mountain lion
• Stormfur - a brave cat who was the brother of Feathertail that left the Clans behind to join the Tribe of Rushing Water for his true love
• Leopardstar - a stubborn, brave leader that mistakenly joined a cruel leader and had to learn many life lessons
• Mudfur - a medicine cat that used to be a warrior and hated when the Clans fought over territory or things he considered superficial
• Oakheart - a kind, tough, and brave cat that was the brother of Crookedstar and gave his life in a battle
• Frostpaw - A quiet, worrysome, and thoughtful medicine cat that was given heavy responsibilty at an early age when RiverClan was left without a leader
• Graypool - a grumpy, thoughtful cat that agreed to raise Mistystar and Stonefur as her own kits in order to hide their partial ThunderClan origin
• Silverstream - a kind, pretty cat that was the mother to Feathertail and Stormfur and died at their birth
• Riverstar - a quiet, smart, and thoughtful cat that was the first leader of RiverClan
