The image shows all the layers for the hive. Hive stand: A stand used to lift the hive off the ground away from any predators. Landing Board: The area used for the bees to land and enter into the hive. Bottom Board Is for the bottom enclosure of the hive. Brood Box The area where the queen spends her time. This is also the area where all the brood is. Queen Excluder This is a wire that all bees except for the queen can fit through. This is so no brood can be in the upper box. Super Is the area with all the honey. This is the box that will be harvested when time comes. Crown board Provides ventilation for the hive. Roof The roof is the top lid to close off the hive.
