Ryan’s Well

When six-year-old Ryan Hreljac from Canada learned in school that many children in Africa didn’t have clean water, he was shocked and decided to help. He did extra chores around the house to raise $70, enough to build one well in Uganda. But Ryan didn’t stop there — his compassion inspired friends, family, and eventually people around the world to join his cause. What began as one small act of kindness grew into the Ryan’s Well Foundation, which has since funded over 1,600 wells and sanitation projects, bringing clean water and hope to more than a million people across Africa and beyond.
