Crewmate Guide

Basic Crewmate Guide

Being a Crewmate is all about completing tasks while staying alert for suspicious behavior. Your main goal is to finish all your tasks before the Imposters eliminate enough players to win. Move around efficiently, stick to visible areas when possible, and keep track of where other players are. Staying aware of your surroundings makes it harder for Imposters to catch you off guard. Communication is crucial for Crewmates. Call meetings when you see something unusual, like a body or strange behavior, and report it clearly. Share observations about who was where and when, but avoid making guesses without evidence. Staying calm and factual helps others trust your input and prevents false accusations from causing chaos.

Task management is key. Focus on completing both visual and normal tasks, because visual tasks provide proof that you’re not an Imposter. Avoid wandering aimlessly, but don’t cluster too tightly either, as Imposters often strike where players are grouped together. Balancing task completion with safety is essential. Pay attention to suspicious behavior. Imposters often act differently than Crewmates, like moving erratically, following others too closely, or avoiding tasks. Watching patterns over time—like who is rarely seen near task locations—can help identify them. Don’t jump to conclusions too quickly, but keep mental notes for meetings.

Finally, teamwork is your best tool. Stick with one or two other players if possible, watch cameras or security systems when available, and help each other finish tasks safely. Coordinated actions make it harder for Imposters to pick off players, and careful observation combined with smart reporting greatly increases your chances of winning as a Crewmate.

Special Roles

Special Crewmate roles give players unique abilities that help detect or stop Imposters, adding new strategies to the game. Some roles can gather extra information, like seeing who is nearby or who has completed tasks, while others can protect or assist other players in emergencies. Using these abilities wisely—at the right time and in the right place—can expose Imposters, save teammates, and make it much harder for the Imposters to win.

Engineer

Engineer

Engineer: The Engineer can use vents like an Imposter, allowing them to quickly travel across the map and respond to emergencies. This mobility makes them excellent at checking suspicious areas, catching Imposters in the act, or helping teammates reach safety during crises.

Scientist

Scientist

Scientist: The Scientist can monitor the vitals panel at any time, giving real-time information about who might have been eliminated. This role allows Crewmates to quickly identify sudden deaths or suspicious activity, making it easier to report and catch Imposters.

Guardian Angel

Guardian Angel

Guardian Angel: A Guardian Angel can temporarily protect a living Crewmate after they die, preventing the Imposter from eliminating them. They can also follow teammates to keep them safe, giving an extra layer of protection and strategic support.

Noisemaker

Noisemaker

Noise Maker: The Noise Maker can create sound alerts or distractions that draw attention to specific areas or players. This can be used to reveal Imposters in the act or to prevent them from killing unoticed.

Detective

Detective

Detective: The Detective can scan or interrogate players to determine who might be an Imposter. By gathering concrete evidence and sharing it during discussions, they help the Crewmates make informed decisions and reduce false accusations.

Tracker

Tracker

Tracker: The Tracker sees footprints or trails left by players as they move around the map. This makes it easier to spot unusual movement patterns, follow suspicious players, and gather evidence to share during meetings.
